The Reston Zoo Director is currently under investigation for animal cruelty. Tears streamed down my face as I read this news story from NBC Washington:

I trusted you.

You taught me how to be professional. You held me to the highest standard.  I proved myself to you and you trusted me, my designs, and my vision for the zoo.  You listened to my ideas and supported them. 

I am speechless.

The excellent reputation the zoo has worked so hard to build instantly shattered.  I lost sleep, stressed over the budget, and sacrificed personal relationships to design and built the greatest exhibits I possibly could.  I committed myself 110% to the work I did for the animals welfare, and for zoo guests and I had come to expect the same from someone in a director position. For the animals welfare, and for zoo guests.  I never cut corners or took the easy road.  You did, and now the reputation of the zoo is shattered.
